This should be a topic twist compared to my usual posts, sometimes I bring a few leaks to the table with the connections that I have in the technology world.
Robert Nikic, the 22 year old CEO of Herolocity has been put on the edge in this year for Herolocity’s latest innovational culture that could change the way websites are designed, created, whatever, all-together.
It has been revealed that in August of 2014, Robert Nikic declined on an acquisition proposal from one of the largest CP providers in the world, for the sake of my reputation and legal matters that come with it, the company’s name cannot be revealed but shouldn’t be the hardest to guess either.
The details of the acquisition are rough, but the scope was to create a plugin that would allow the CP provider to offer Herolocity’s platform to potentially millions of users that use the panel while continuing to develop and expand the plugin/software under the CP’s command.
Now to the caveat, it would involve Robert Nikic and Herolocity merging with the company, receiving a payoff for the merge and Robert Nikic having an executive based position with the company managing the development and overseeing the team of talents. Not so clear whether Herolocity’s employees other than Robert were involved in the potential merger.
With my own implied and expressed opinion, the payoff would have been close to the 2.7 million mark. One of the largest mergers for just a mere plugin.
Robert Nikic isn’t one of the most highlighted individuals, from the lack of social media accounts, involvement in forums and overall transparency in the open source community for technology that could help drive innovation, I think that there is more than meets the eye with this foreign but unveiled individual and concept of technology overall.
A long shot, but I emailed Robert Nikic for a comment on the topic since the lack of a pledged social media presence and received a tender reply of “No Comment.” At least I didn’t get referred to a legal department like I did in my previous post with the “Net Honey Bee” creator.
The decline on the proposal was quite the jab hook in jaw. The young and bright company could have used this opportunity to have millions of users testing and using the product in less than 24 hours. With Robert Nikic being the CEO of Herolocity, the decline seems to show that he is much more involved and passionate about the product and technology – the creator? This means that there are more means to the product/service/technology that haven’t been mentioned, at least in my perspective.
Young companies, start-ups and entrepreneurs typically seek funding and angel investors day and night. 2.7 Million dollars doesn’t seem to interest Robert, this interests me, Forbes, The Huffington Post, Tech Cocktail, Mashable and handfuls of other tech websites that have written about the situation.
I’ll be sure to keep this post updated as things start to unfold more.
UPDATE: Robert Nikic has promised “transparency” in the “internet landscape” within due time. I think it may be a bit too late. I’m sure the transparency that will be offered will be written half-off by NDA agreements. Still waiting.
UPDATE: Robert Nikic has created a Twitter account. Following all the typical spotlights in the industry with no tweets in the past week, I have decided to shoot one over to him to get the involvement in action!
UPDATE: It looks like Mr. Nikic appeared at the “Tampa Convention” in Florida according to Jessalyn with a quick Google search of Robert’s Name.
UPDATE: Robert Nikic commented, letting the internet community know that the name and concept of the sister company of Herolocity targeting designers will be announced in early May.
